ROUTE 65 TO BALTINGLASS???

I recently acquired a Jan-Feb 1954 timetable, the timetable for route 65 carries a reference to a footnote three pages forwards from the main route 65 page.

It reads :

ROUTE 65
As from 11th January the bus scheduled to depart Burgh Quay at 1.30pm will run via Annalecky Cross direct to Baltinglass, returning from Baltinglass at 3.40pm via Grange Con, Colbinstown, Dunlavin & Annalecky Cross to Blessington thence at 4.40 to Dublin.

Route 52 - Wilfield Road terminus

Just wondering if anyone can advise on this. Looking at a map from the mid-80's and it shows route 52 traversing the following roads in the Sandymount area in order to turn around:

Gilford Road, Gilford Park, Willfield Park, Willfield Road, Sandymount Avenue.

Can anyone advise whether this was the routing and if so in which direction did the buses travel in. Also was this always the way the buses turned around at this terminus or where there alternative arrangements in...

Just wondering if someone could help me out on this one. I'm planning to put a bit up on the wiki in relation to the introduction of the Dart Feeder Services in the coming days and just wondering if someone could help clarify this.

The first 101 service was from Blunden Drive to Newgrove Cross via Harmonstown and Raheny Stations. This was then split in 2, into a 101 and a 101A.

Here is a list of GNR(I) Motor Omnibus Routes as the GNR would say. Correct for 18th September 1939.

Most of these services still exist today in one form or another.

The GNR never used route numbers.

To help identify those services or part thereof still operated by current Bus Eireann & Dublin Bus services i've used their route number systems, Thus (BE 493) now Bus Eireann or (DB 29A) now Dublin Bus. Where a service no longer...

Sometime ago I enqired about a photo in the book "Through Streets Broad And Narrow", it is on page 102 and shows a route 14 tram at St Stephens Green alongside which is an Independent bus and according to the caption is en-route to Crumlin, it is difficult to see the destination on the bus but it does look like Crumlin, the bus is of International make. The photo was taken in 1933. As far as I can find, there were only two companies with this particular make of bus operating in...

Did the 76 (the circuitous one around Tallaght) operate at the same time as these routes or were they a precursor to this?

I was on Annamoe Road today, its where my mam grew up and one of my aunts was telling me how they use to use the 4 into Woolworths all those years ago!! Now that was a good while back!
I forgot to ask her though where exactly the 4 terminus was, how did it get to the terminus and leave it?

And with the 14/A also using the road where were the bus stops situated?

I'm looking for some info on routes 7 & 7A.

My memory of the 70's was of the 7A only which suggests that the 7 was a tram route which of course disapeared to be replaced by the 7A.

The 7 then returned sometime late 70's? to run as far a Ballybrack as that area expanded.

I've also seen a pic of a Leyland Atlantean demonstrator from the late 60's at the terminus in Sallyniggin. However it's across the road from the terminus I remember and is facing the opposite...
