In summer 2006 I posted that I had seen KC95 at a location near Dublin. Given the location, it was important not to encourage sightseers and photographers, so I did not disclose the location. Eamon McArthur was aware of the location, and that the premises were not willing to discuss sale or preservation of the bus. RH88, 89, 90

Came across this when looking for something else this evening.

From December 2005, it shows RH89 and 90 (still in service) and 88 (trainer) over the pits in Donnybrook.

Interestingly, RH90 looks from the photo to have an incredibly clean and clear DMD -...

AV167 was only a few months in service when it lost its roof in an accident on the 19A in spring 2001.

The bus was on a diversion due to the closure of city centre streets for a parade, and the driver, not a Dubliner, became lost and ended up off the proper diversion and under...

Here's a blast from the past, and in an unusual location to boot.

Donnybrook's RV461 in full CitySwift/Stillorgan Flyer branding, working a private hire in Eastpoint Business Park.

Private buses work a shuttle into the estate, but this was the only time in the two years that I worked there that I saw a DB vehicle inside the business park.

Another selection of photos, this time with an emphasis on unusual routes or vehicles to route.

The 39 may have been the first CitySwift route, with all the Ps properly liveried for such a route. But that did not stop a green AD making its way onto the 39.

These are of mixed quality, but hopefully all worth showing. Some are from before 1987, but most are after so recent history seemed more appropriate! But we will start with the oldest.....

Rather grainy, because this is a cropped and zoomed section of a 1940s picture postcard of Skerries. The experts reckon the bus is either 62 or 63, which were the first GNR double...

Ringsends AV250 on the 77A on the first day of the extension of routes 50,56A,77,77A to Ringsend Road and routes 15abc to Eden Quay. The changes took place on Sunday 9th April 2006 and are still in place today, with the 74/A also moved off Eden Quay to Macken St./Cardiff Lane.(Beside Pearse Street) on the 30th Of September 2007.(thanks Gavin)

Note the scroll reading the irish translation for The Square / An Chearnóg and not showing a via point.

Came across these in the last few years. Had to dig them out,they were well buried! I know I have more somewhere. They are official CIE photos recieved them from ex drivers. The two Philips buses make up one photo. Don't know who took them or when they were taken. I think they were taken near Donnybrook garage but I am open to correction. Enjoy them anyway.
