Legal Action over Dublin Bus Route

The State is facing legal action from a private bus operator that runs a service to and from Dublin city centre to Swords.

It comes to light after the Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey said Dublin Bus had been engaged in predatory behaviour by adding extra services where it competed with private operators.

The case by Swords Express is due for mention in the High Court today.

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers of roadworks on Saturday 12th July 2008 between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs at the Junction of Seville Place and Oriel Street Upper.

Routes 90 and 151 will continue along Seville Place and turn left into Amiens Street and back onto their normal routing. The bus stop on Oriel Street will be made inactive during this time.

Does the 1615 (ex-Belfield) 49x operate via Eden Quay ?

And, does the 1635 (ex-Belfield) 15x operate via Eden Quay ?

They both have timetabled departures from Eden Quay, but I've noticed some buses coming straight up Pearse St. , onto College Street ?

On the DB website the timetable for the 15F contains a 'low floor, wheelchair accessible' symbol but the route isn't included on the Accessibility page.

Its operated by Phibsboro using low floor AV's but is this a mistake or is it actually classified low floor?

Reason I am asking is because I went to a music festival there last Saturday. A friend brought me up by car but i noticed the dublin bus direction signs on the N3.

I left at about 11:30pm and went up to the minibus and bought a ticket. I was told there was a bus going to Blanchardstown. Anyway I was not in the humour for hanging around so I hopped on the only bus loading. This bus went through ratoath took the N2 and through Finglas etc and it was a long journey!
