I was sitting down last night and going through all the obos from the last few weeks and was trying to work out an allocation system @ Harristown but i found most of there low floor routes and euros get any bus

Examples
Avs 333-338 usually on the 13 & 13A
Evs 65-74 & Vgs 40/A/D
Evs 37-44 27B
Av 339-343 102
Axs 128/140
Avs 281-282 33B
Aw 1-20 4/A

Buses in Summerhill that are off service

Just a question guys,

Which buses are off service at Summerhill at the moment, the reason I ask is my recent adventure on a WV on the 41B, which is rare!
The buses which come to my mind are:

AV266 (retired)
WH1 (pending reintroduction in the future)

Is there any there any others?

VL2-5 have been re-registered R984-6/93 SSA (in order) in 10/09. No reports yet of new numbers for the WV's.

I've never seen WH 1 close up before but after seen av320s photo of it operating the 16 in Ballinteer I noticed that the upper saloons seats are parted. It reminds of the RAs in 95and 96. It was very uncomfotable. The seats were like blocks. I was never a fan of those type of seats. Sit at the back of an ev and you'll know what i mean. I can't unerstand why they did that. Thank god it is not like that upstairs. As anyone been on WH 1. Is it as uncomfortable as it looks.

RA311 in Warrington

Was in Manchester for the weekend and took a side trip to Warrington on Monday. Thanks to Redstarcastles for suggesting Warrington! It is the home of 15 ex-Dublin Bus Olympians. Four RHs are 159 - 162, ex RH 77 76 99 and 92. The 11 former RAs are numbered 171 to 181 and were RA 296 307 311 312 313 324 314 319 321 322 and 320.

On arrival, I noticed that all the buses in and out of the bus station were single deck. There was one, 176 (ex-RA324) parked out of service outside the bus...

Would anyone know who this bus operates with since withdrawm from Dublin Bus?

P.S this was a very sluggush bus when with Dublin Bus which led to it's premature withdrawl if I remember correctly. W/D'd around Sept. '07 as posted on this board.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea aboy AV 118 as its in Broadstone for sale ,I thought it was going to become a ghost tours bus

Also AV 242 where is this bus now ,what happened it after its meeting with the tree

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but RV404 (now R45LHK with HC Chambers, Bures, Suffolk) was involved in a serious accident whilst working a rail replacement in deepest darkest Essex a couple of weeks ago, picture (not mine and scanned from local newspaper) can be viewed here...

Full page advert in CBW Magazine today by Dublin Bus, offering 59 RVs and 2 open-top RH for sale.

It's my understanding that they didn't manage to sell all the RVs last time round, so presumably this is a second go.

Prices are tumbling, due to the fact that large numbers of ex-London lowfloor deckers are now on the market. London United for example are selling Volvo B7TL ALX400s for £39,000 each, and there are also Tridents for sale ex East London, and...

I have been thinking about taking a trip on the Dublin Ghostbus tour for the past few weeks and i am hoping to go either tomorrow night (Sun. 18th Oct) or else next Friday night (23rd Oct), and i am trying, and hoping to get the old bus, DF450, or as we here refer to her as Molly 1. I was just looking at the pictures on the Phibsboro and Bus Eireann photo feature on busandcoachireland.com. But, take a look at the VT behind RA196 coming out of Phibsboro Garage. There is a 2, but there seems to be another 2 beside it. It can only mean that it was a 122. It doesn't look like 92. I'm not sure when the pictures were taken. It's the 19th picture down.

Dublin Bus AVL System

Looks like C/Road might be next in line to have this fitted to it's fleet.. Was on AV352 today and happened to notice it has the AVL device fitted forward of the driver.

These devices have also been fitted to AV296 and AV400 and the internal fleet numbers have been relocated from the driver's cab to above the entrance door as per the earlier batch.

P.S. Does anyone know if AX549 has recently transferred to C/Road. It operated the 08:20...

Returned to service for rail replacement

Have we a list of buses returned to service? Apart from the Phibsboro group RV611 - 616, we now have RV455, 456, 506, 507 and 509 all seen on 33x duties within the past few days.
