VC17 on the 177 from Monaghan this evening.

Scroll was displaying '177 Dublin' but it was blocked out by a 'Bus Scoile' sticker, so an laminated paper slip was on display in the window.

VP314 - Route 20- To Galway (only starting from Athlone)
VG8 - Route 73 - Waterford
VG5 - 71 Cork
VP309 - 466 - Longford
VP308 - 70 - Athlone (up on scroll)
VG19 - Route 20 (either the 07.00 from Dublin to Galway or the 07.30am ex Galway to Dublin)
SP82 - Route 20 (either the 07.00 ex Dublin to Galway or the 07.30 ex Galway to Dublin) - (only seen the route scroll on rear window of both VG19 & SP82)

So help me God , Bus Eireann are actually conducting on-bus market research on Corks rte.8 , dont know too much more than that as I only caught a glimpse of a few VWL's with signs in the windscreen this morning , but its a step in the right direction

Can I just take this opportunity to remind all posters on this site that Bus Éireann policy is that enthusiasts are not permitted to visit their depots.

It would be better for all concerned if posters would refrain from indicating on this site that they were visiting depots as the last thing anyone wants is to raise a hornets' nest on this topic.

By all means feel free to report on sightings around depots/bus stations, but please do not report...

Seen in Dublin Airport this evening are new style bus stop with the leaping dog, new ads for the 1/200 and the 2, as well as a very good schematic map, but not very accurate as of the 21st of July 2008!

Ballina bus station

Was at ballina bus station this evening, and here is what I saw in the bus station and, looking from outside, what could be seen in the bus depot:
VP 322, VP 323, VP 324, VC128, VC 145, SC 26, SC 248, SI 50, TE 27, TE 29, VR 14, VR 121,
LS 21, LS 48, LS 162, LS 166, IS 10, ME 204, PD 38, PD 44, IS 7.

This is only a few that I could see, many of the LS, TE, PD will never move a inch again i.e. rust etc

VC105 i have heard is to be repaired very soon, within the next few weeks apparently. I was told by several people that she was not allowed to be touched until after the inquest, but if what i hear is true then she is to start being fixed up in the very near future, hopefully. One of the 2 SI's, (70 & 72) has gone to i think Ballina, or is to go soon, and when VC105 comes back she is to go straight on schools in Donegal town, there is surprisingly very little damage to her, all she...

DD 11 now has an ad-frames on it's nearside & offside as like Dublin Bus 'AV/AX' class... not yet in use - seen today on route 126 at Georges Quay

VR3 & VR5 are very soon to go on schools in Athlone.
The new decker coaches (LD's) are at present, limited at 100km/h, (62mph), and may not be out on the road til the end of the year, waiting for the limiter to be pulled back to 80km/h. Although most people are saying that they'll be out around September or there abouts.
Spotted LC21 coming in from Waterford today on Ormond Quay at 14.40, displaying '004 Dublin Express' on the scroll. I presume it was the 07.15...

Was very intoxicated for this years event , but I managed to stay sober on thursday long enough to remember the bus movments
Bus Eireann had a very low key presense at this years event , A fact noticed and commented on (at lenght) by a one Brian Souter who was on a short visit to the regatta
On thursday the 222 operated its normal timetable supplimented by several reliefs and an hourly shuttle to Cork city centre , buses that day were

Ex Bus Eireann Eurolines VP something was parked beside Navan shopping centre today about 12.30. It has been with 'Dunshaughlin Coach Hire' for ages now as i'v seen it before. Its reg is 97 D 7826. I think its either VP36, 37, 38 or 44. Cant remember.

Is this bus still in Broadstone? Are there any plans to get rid of her at all? Does she be on a certain route most of the time or is she still spare? And does anyone know if there is still a shite radio in it? I know the reception isnt great on most of these VC types but 320 was brutal. That bus was a disaster when on Letterkenny and Donegal when new in 2003 & 2004, you'd loose all the stations once you leave Dublin. There was no way to even hold or key in different stations or...

Can anyone help me out with this query? Those SC's in the standard white Bus Eireann livery, they have the 'doggy'seats, and the all red SC's have a sort-of 'turquoise/blue' colour seat, as do most or all of the new SP's on route 51 (Galway-Cork), and the LC's, does that mean that the one's with the dog on the seats are only owned by Bus Eireann, and the red SC's with the blue seats are only leased?
