Also as posted in the Dundalk thread, The DoT issues have now been resolved and Aircoach can now advertise their Dublin Airport to Belfast route as being able to set down and pick up from Dublin Airport to/from Drogheda and Dundalk rather than having to advertise it as a seperate route as they have done for the last month since they launched it.

Is it me or do people have doubts that Swords Express will survive? I mean the only time there services are full are in the morning and the evening, throughout the day there might be a handful on people on board. With the canceling of the Sunday service I am slightly dubious of its survival.

Anyone else agree?

Today, Sunday 13th September 2009 will be the last day of the company's Sunday service.
They hope to reintroduce a revamped Sunday service at a future date.

From 24th August 2009. (You can download it as a PDF if you wish). Go to www.ith.org.uk then select Fleetnews main page from the left hand menu. Then Swilly News. The timetable is the first item mentioned. I've removed the hyperlink - my internet connection has been coming and going tonight so maybe this was partly to blame and also am still learning. As of Sunday week, 20th September 2009 this company will commence a Cork route primarily catering for passengers studying or working in Cork. The Friday service will depart CORK IT (Rossa Ave) at 1715hrs, UCC (Western Road) at 1730. En route to Wexford it will serve New Ross (Quays). On Sundays the service departs Wexford (Redmond Square) at 1800hrs.

The website refers to the existence of a Fridays Wexford to Cork service and Sundays Cork to Wexford service though one is required to...

Effective from today, 18th August 2009 inst., the abovementioned point is pick-up on request (Wexford-bound journeys). The intending user must 'phone the company beforehand.

I would disagree about Dublin Coach and early arrivals, 6.20 into Dublin Airport would miss out most if not all of the first wave departures. The times are only good for Transatlantic services.

Dublin Coach journey times look quite ambitious. They need at least four coaches, but with four they would have very limited catch up time. Good early journeys for getting to airport but last bus back is too early given that after 2200 is the most intense time for arriving flights.

The Wexford Bus website now features the "Dublin City commuter" service which will come into effect on Monday July 13th next.
