Loved the pics on the 5-Wes, probably one of the nicest units I've travelled on in the UK. We should get them over here, stick a pan on them and have a "DART Express"!

Lads, the Wanderer is Ireland's top railway photo man and in this time of engine cutting, his work is getting more and more appreciated. We should all be thankful for his skill and entusiatic work in recording Irish railway pictures and that he is good enough to share them with us here :)

Ah now spideog....methinks that you're getting over-enthusiastic! I think that we can afford the title top DIGITAL photographer to the Wanderer!!
There are some excellent photographers from the pre-digital age whose pictures are there to see in Rail Express and the IRRS journals and may not be quite as widespread on the web...Colm O'Callaghan and Paul Quinlan spring to mind as being two of the best who have for many years recorded the changing Irish railway scene!
The Wanderer is but an apprentice (a fact that he would freely admit!), but he has the advantage of the web, youth, an amazing insight into what's happening, and do you know, he's getting rather good quite quickly!!!

Now now Dbook, them gentlemen are truly great but they have not the sublime steath of the Wanderer, who is known to take photos on platforms at the same time as others and yet is never spotted! So a compromise shall be made, and he wins a Garaiste for Best Photography.
Which gives me an idea....

Believe me spideog the Wanderer has his match in a certain h.Gricer who is a rail gricer par excellence!!! Well before the Wanderer's time we have been wondering who this enigma is!!
Never has he been identified taking photos, some say he has a direct link to CTC, some say he can be seen travelling the network by night in his own rail mounted vehicle....All we know is that he is called "h.Gricer"!!!
For the Wanderer is indeed stealth like....but he is but an apprentice to the real pro....h.Gricer!!!!!
