I had a hazy memory of seeing what I now know was RA109 on the pits in Clontarf and I was in the depot most days from mid 76 to early 1981 ( I DROVE THE TRUCK FOR ALLIED COURIERS NOW BRINKS ALLIED WHICH COLLECTED THE PAY IN BAGS FROM THE DEPOTS) so it must have been in 1976 when I saw it. The whole bonnet area was being re assembled (welded ) and the bus was getting a total repaint,
As a matter of interest which Donnybrook RA was it replacing
and was it due to accident damage ? Re the 900's the Finglas routes when in Summerhill 40, 40a, 40b, 35 went RA on Sundays, the crews opting for the spare RA's over the boneshakers.
