As for the rest of my post, I was merely pointing out that there was a series of statements made in your original post that were quite divorced from the situation on the ground, which given that you're not in Ireland in all probability you are unaware of.

There have been teams of inspectors checking tickets for at least ten years, but Dublin Bus for some inexplicable reason has not been pursuing the whole issue of fare evasion to the same degree in recent times. It would appear that this has now changed.

To suggest that there are ever increasing numbers of inspectors is simply not true nor are they anywhere near the number of conductors that were ever employed by Dublin Bus/CIE.

I'm merely suggesting that you moderate the tone of your posts - maybe ask the question before making outlandish statements that bear no relevance to the situation on the ground.
