Right from the Centra/Merchant's Arch/Ha'penny bridge to Londis is not the safest place. You have to be on guard all the time- 'People' urinating against the wall of the record shop, a fight ensued from a poor soul who dared object to that - I moved away just in time from it.

I'd rather wait on Aston Quay than anywhere on Thomas Street though. Across from the Social Welfare Office there is one of only two places I've seen people shooting up in Dublin in broad daylight. (the other incidentally was in the phoneboxes where the 25A waits to turn onto Westmoreland St)
