This is supposed to be a debate about anti-social behaviour on Aston's Quay not about your feelings about how staff perform their duties, I can tell you in detail why the two inspectors were moved but this board is not the place to do it. To suggest that bus staff themselves are in the main responsible for the situation (your wording below clearly implies that) is ridiculous and I never mentioned junkies not being allowed on buses or even travelling on buses just that ones that openly deal in doorways and try to rob or intimidate passengers and staff. Junkies need to get their fix, to get it they need money and to get money they need to steal that makes them potential troublemakers even if they happen to have a heart of gold beneath it all. Seeing as you mention travelling on buses, staff don't know if addicts are carrying needles or whether they are going to "shoot up" on the bus or leave their needles down the sides of seats or even overdose and drop dead on the bus (it has happened). If so many need to go to the addiction centre maybe they should have their own dedicated bus service paid by the tax payer as we already pay for their free travel! I am not a bus worker but know the staff involved and have been given the facts so don't need to assume anything, your examples of how inspectors deal with the public are not related to these incidents, they didn't involve passengers. We will probably have to agree to disagree on this one.
