And RH12, I don't know what you call pulling a stunt, but my daughter got badly caught by the last 101 at night leaving the airport early, even though the driver knew she was coming (I was on the bus and in mobile phone contact with her), and she had to get a taxi to Balbriggan

"That most definitely qualifies as a stunt. Your daughter should ring Drogheda about that"

Couldn't agree more, if the bus left either on time - or even if it was late, then you wouldn't have a leg to stand on - your daughter was late for the bus' timetabled departure. Bus leaves on (or after) the timetabled time = passenger not there = bus keeps going = tough luck. The driver is not obliged to wait for your daughter or anyone else once the bus is on time, or running late.

BUT
, if the driver left early, then thats a different story and totally out of order. If the driver cannot respect his/her timetable (with regard to waiting for the right time to depart - even if you arrive 15/20 mins early), then perhaps they should consider another career. Timetables whilst not perfect are there for a reason, and the passengers do in fact pay the drivers wages.

However it has to be said, the 101 itself is a nightmare of a route to travel on, as it is stop-start-stop-start run, every bloody resident wants to be picked up and dropped off to their door, and on most occasions it never keeps on time because of this, and also becaue it goes in-and-out of every poxy town all the way to Dublin, and drops off at every single stop in Dublin city on request. I know you could get the 100X for quick travel, but the 101 really does take the piss when it comes to pick-up / drop off stops and needs more regulation

An empty bus is a happy bus!
