MG92, that long time driver on the Mountmellick run no longer works for Bus Eireann, but is now driving for a private operator and is doing more or less the same trip as he was while in Bus Eireann. But at the minute yes the Mountmellick service is still operating.

I agree with RH12 on the point that he makes about there being a stance man at the airport, nobody will leave early once he is there. But after he goes home at 5 or 6 o clock in the evening, different story. Alot of drivers will carry on and not hang about.

gnr302, I feel sorry for your daughter having to go through all that, its not a nice thing to happen at all.

And as KC48 says, and i couldn't agree more, the 101 IS just a start-stop-start-stop service and does have several request stops on it, which does add alot of extra time onto journeys, as for some unknown stupid reason that whenever a bus indicates right to pull out of a bus stop or even just to change lanes there are so many thick idiots who put the boot down onto the accelerator in order to get past the bus, even if they themselves are turning off 500 yards up the road, they still have to and must get past the bus. Its like 'Oh no i'm not going to get stuck behind a bid red and white bus no way' attitude. And its stupid things like that that always holds up public transport. Unfortunately the 109's seem to be heading in the same direction as the 101's as regard to the several stops along the way. And with these new LD double decks on the road it doesn't make things any easier.
