Although the vehicles in the Howth transport museum are packed together, I still enjoy going. I should be making my annual pilgrimage there shortly, hopefully I have some photographs from previous visits, including KD353, which was parked in the grounds when I was there last year. And the year before, I had the pleasure of sitting in R389 while it was in motion and got a couple of pics of it. It was reversing from the grounds into the shed. A lot of the vehicles are closed, such as the Ds (44 and 694), KD353 and KD59, though 59's front doors were open the last time I was there, so I had a quick peek in at the lower saloon. Now, the platform buses tend to be open and I've had a look inside them. I addition to the vehicles there, there are also various collections of photographs through the ages dotted around, a couple of side scrolls from presumably a KD, some old registrations hanging up, etc. I have to say, it's always enjoyable going and always have positive comments to give. It's a pity, though, that the vehicles are so packed together. Perhaps one day, the museum could be expanded. There are many other vehicles in different sheds that can't be displayed due to a lack of space, which is a pity. I highly recommend the museum to anyone who hasn't been there yet.
