Something I've been meaning to ask - but why would - as I too imagine it would - the list be on the basis of what people tell you? Competition for parts or something?
Nothing whatsoever to do with sharing/competition for parts or anything else like it, preservationists are individuals and some like to keep themselves (and what vehicles they have!) to themselves, whereas others are more extrovert and like to show off what they have. It's all down to the individual.

As said before the preservationist community in general works well together and there are "collectives" who work together, and then there are those who just do their own thing. Remeber that "every farmyard barn hides its own secrets" therefore you may never get a true, accurate list of preserved vehicles of any kind.

As for myself, I am an independent preservationist (not a member of any club, movement, museum etc), but I stay in touch (and sometimes share resources/parts) with different preservation organisations, and stand-alone preservationists, whereas other people stay completely independent. It comes down to the individual at the end of the day.

As I'm sure griffin and others will agree with me, most of the preservation hobby is like a floating collective of like-minded individuals, working for the same goals, but in their different ways, however some preservationists just like to keep themselves to themselves! I think thats enough said before anyone else decides to open up a can of worms!
