I have to say I am surprised that DB do not attempt to be more aggressive in tackling these gurriers. Of course drivers should not be asked to go within a mile of any yob on the bus in my view, they are not bouncers. But how about the following:

DB have fitted state of the art CCTV on every bus which gives excellent pictures. Crimeline is on RTE every month. I would bet my life that if DB and RTE formed an alliance and DB supplied viedo of the culprits (say, ten or so per month), put their faces on the national channel asking for people to ID them, the shame alone would be enough to make people think twice. Everyone ID'd on the programme would need to be dealt with, the Gardai would need to co-operate on this. For example, a culprit could be punishable by a month of cleaning buses in garages of all graffiti etc.

Any thoughts? Is something like that too much to ask for?
