VWL- To be fair I think most new generation low floor deckers have been getting close to failing the tilt test, especially those specified for TFL operations. What with the upper deck cooling system that been included even more weight was added to the top deck just when all the weight was closer to the ground due to the low floor, thereby changin the centre of gravity. It just seems the SO class were the straw that broke the camels back so to speak.

There has been some comment that a large number of London buses have spent the summer with the heaters blasting away because ther aren't enough engineers to turn the heaters off
TFL themselves were supposed to have instructed all London operators to ensure vehicles had their heaters off during the summer. Maybe if this was done there wouldn't be a need to have upper deck cooling installed. All recent London vehicles and those being repainted should have white painted upper decks- to deflect heat

More recently First and Wrights have been striving to get weight out of buses, the Gemini 2 being an example.

At moment both Transdev and East London bus group appear to have something of a love in as far as Scania are concerned, and with Transdev retaining the 111 recently I'd be shocked if anything other than more Scania's made their way from Poland.
