Change of Bus Stop at Clontarf DART Station Due to the poor condition of the exit road from Clontarf DART Station onto Alfie Byrne Road, buses have been withdrawn from the station until further notice. Passengers can disembark outside the station at the bus stop on the Clontarf Road and passengers can board the bus at the first bus stop outbound after the junction of the Howth Road/Clontarf Road. |

You will note from my Obs of a couple of weeks ago that I saw a 103 doing just that.

Daz,
loadings on 103/104 from Clontarf DART are so low that it hardly matters! Even in morning peak, very few arrive on these buses. There are more DART users on the 130 than on the feeder buses. |

This change came into effect about a week ago but of course, nothing was put up on the site. The notice at the bus stop itself was completely vague, making
reference to boarding at Clontarf Road. It's not like this came as a surprise to DB, the least they could do was provide some information to customers
without having to be asked.

I haven't been round that lane recently. Not since last summer when I went that
way practically every weekday dropping off one of my sons, but then there were potholes like the grand canyon, and one so wide that you were conscious that unless you got it absolutely right either your near/offside wheel would drop in. Add to that cars parked in any little slot they could find, thick blackthorns [or something similarly aggressive ] on one side which would scrape the side of your car, I was pleased when my daily detour came to an end. But as GNR says, passenger numbers always seemed very light. |
