A couple of recent pics of my British Leyland Princess 2000 HLS taken at a NEVCC http://www.nevcc.net/ Road Run on Easter Sunday. Its' next planned trip will be up to the ITT Rally again in April. We will also be travelling to Peterborough, England in August to exhibit it on the PAOC (Princess Ambassador Owners Club) stand at the BL/BMC Show on Sun 3rd August to commemorate 30 years of the Mark 2 Leyland Princess (Princess 2) which was launched in 1978. I remember when I growing up in Churchtown, a neighbour down the road got a Princess. It attracted a huge number of admiring glances, it may look retro now, but to us at the time it was dead futuristic! Aquavid |

Yes indeed.
My Father bought a secondhand 1800 HL type in the early 80's and I can remember thinking how modern it looked at the time. I subsequently started to learn to drive in it and have always had a longing to own one myself. I decided to buy my preserved example in Dec 2006 and drove it back from London via Nottingham (my sisters house) to Holyhead. I've done a few bits and pieces to it since (with a few more bits to be done in the next few months) but its proved very reliable overall. Tony |

Was there a model with two small round type headlights?
Then came the later Ambassador. Complete with BL mud flaps - unreal! |

There were indeed versions with twin round headlamps.

There is three old cars i would love to have A Toyota Cressida Ford Granada or a Fiat Croma but cant find any good ones anywhere
