Great to see that it is at such an advanced stage. Any news of the release date?
It would be interesting to see a rear end view. |

Hi,
Received the model three hours ago so I expect it should be within two/three weeks. Comments would be welcome. I think it is an exceelent representation of the Volvo B7T in the latest Airlinks livery.. Do the officianados and collectors that Creative Master could, based on this model go ahead with a standard Dublin Bus AV ? Don E Brook |

Looks like an excellent model. Don't suppose they can change it to AV 125 as that is my favourite Airlink, for obvious reasons!
29 down, 17 to go.

av415 is right. It is the bus that caught fire on Christmas Eve and I was there to photograph it. I don't drive it
but I work on O'Connell Street. Maybe I could open the engine cover on the rear and install a little red light and smoke unit to recreate this view!
29 down, 17 to go.

Don E Brook wrote: Is this a commisioned model since it is a Trident with the same alterations at the rear as I previously mentioned in respect of the other CMNL B7TL? I
understand that the model number will be IEBUS0001.

Ebay,
It never ceases to amaze me, John Ayrey Models TONIGHT (26th April) officially announce the D.B Airlinks bus for release in Mod may and yet it can be bought on Ebay today (probably the Hong Kong Mafia)...the mind boggles...just the same with the Corgi Dublin Metrobus and the London Transdev on the 9 to The Aldwych. Doesn't it jusy take the expectancy out of a good wait for a longing model.. I am old enough to remember looking in Graces or Tierneys Toy shops in Dun Laoghaire in the late 1950s looking at the latest Dinky 290 or the BOAC Harrington coach and waiting until the birthday or Christmas ... The focus the mind the price of the Dinky d/deck was 3/9d( 80c) and the BOAC was 1 euro... God be with the days eh... I hoper you collectors will deem it a good enough "likeness" to encourage Mr Chan to produce the AV in the two previous liveries... I leave it up to you guys D.E. B. Don E Brook |

Hopefully, Wayne, although it would need to be another compromise model since I am told that the Gemini body on a B9TL differs from the Corgi casting. We also
have to hope that Corgi continue producing models

With regards Creative Master and the code IE for that Airlink model, the world does not revolve around Dublin Bus! Yes I am a driver there but Creative Master
has to look at the wider picture, just like EFE do. you have to remember that Ulster Bus, Metro, and Translink also have ALX400's. Finnegan's of Bray
have one DENNIS Trident ALX400, AMC had two Tridents also. It does look like CMN have plans for an Irish theme. Their 4 month release programme has just been
announced and there is also one model for the Australian market, which is a Mercedes Citaro.
Fingers crossed for the collectors in Ulster and those wanting a wedding bus! |
