When they were building them just like the Paramount before rust was fitted as standard on the production line. Even so most coach enthusiasts still has a soft spot for them. I always knew that the Premier/Excalibur family made it onto Volvo, DAF and even a few Scania chassis but I never imagined Id ever see a Premier on a Tiger chassis! Yes a Tiger! Malta seems to be the place where they bought a Premier bodykit and put it onto a Leyland Tiger chassis. Not quite identical to a UK spec Premier but incredible all the same! Posts: 940 03/06/2008 19:31:47 Full Member	Need to do some file digging now , but there was one other Tiger that carried the "new" Plaxton body style , if I remember correctly there were 5 prototypes from Plaxton at the time , the Premier 350 , 3.5 meter height on a Scania K113 , the Premier 320 , 3.2 meter height on a Volvo B10M , the Excalibur 350 , 3.5 meter height on a Volvo B10M , the Excalibur 320 , 3.2 meter height on a Leyland Tiger , and the stillborn Prestige , 3.7 meter height on a LHD Volvo B12R The Prestige was aimed at the European market but failed to sell in any numbers , If I am remembering correctly the Excalibur 320 had been built somewhere in 1990 and was the first prototype completed intended to be a premium commuter coach option to the Premier 320 , however at around the same time that Volvo decided to drop the axe on the Leyland Tiger , Plaxton decided to drop the premium option on the commuter coach I think this bus was exported from the U.K. afterwards , I will have to do some digging as this all happened 16 years ago
