Just spotted a new casting. It's a plastic resin of an Enviro 300. Bus Eireann have 12 of them painted yellow as school buses. A's of Bolton have them
under mirror image models brand. Another item which might get you going is the C Class of Leyland single decker which CIE operated. Jim Poots from NI has them
and can supply them painted...again these are plastic resins, but the quality is fantastic. I shall post pictures of the ones I got shortly. ...

As promised earlier, here are the pictures of the Enviro 300 Bus Scoile as painted and also the C Class CIE Bus Scoile and Leyland Lynx Bus Scoile.
The Leyland Lynx could be produced by Corgi if they wanted to. I painted this one 2 years ago. Jim Poots who I mentioned in a previous post is the guy who did the C Class and A's of Bolton are selling the enviro 300 as a blank resin which you then put the livery of your choice on ( i believe translink are to receive a batch of these )

Well done, that man! Those are great C Class models. That reminds me, I must start my own...
I still have two of the late Norman Clay's E Class kits, one of which I was going to recreate as a single headlight example, with wide back windows. If I had a third, I'd do an SE, but alas, the E Class is no longer available. I have three short Cs and a long C. I was tentatively considering motorising one of the short Cs, but when I'll get around to it is another thing... PS, my model bus website is abandoned AGAIN, due to time issues, but if I can get it sorted at a later date, I'd love to put your models on display on their own page - let me know if you are interested... |
