I don't think there should be anymore RVs heading that way. At this stage, I think what Ringsend need are low-floors. It doesn't matter really what ones they are, but if they are planning on converting the 77s to low-floor (at weekends anyways), they don't need anymore RVs. As it is, there are still a number of RVs appearing across their low-floor network, such as the 49, 50, 56/A and 65B more so than on the 1, 2 and 3 routes. A low-floor symbol should not appear on stops until 100% low-floors are guaranteed. It was pointed out earlier that these RVs may be used on low-floor routes as overtime, etc. But, this shouldn't be the case. |

Think it's high time Phibs started transfering some of their 00 low floor buses, they have far more percentage wise than any other garage, and instead of
withdrawing RV611-616 they should have kept some of them in service and allowed the early AV's to transfer elsewhere.
Just look at the fleet breakdown here to see what I mean: http://www.dublinbus.ie/e...out-Us/Dublin-Bus-Fleet/ They have 103 AV's according to the DB site and jus 14 RV's Thats ridicolous if you look at the other two big garages such as Harristown and Donnybrook. And Since 2006 they have recieved 114 vehicles (50 VT's, 53 AX's 11 VG's). Consdering there are the 120/121/122/38C/236 among others that are not as if they need them all.

I think low-floors should be spread as much as possible across the various depots that could do with them. Ringsend are in dire need of more low-floors, so if
any AVs are to transfer, then they should be for there. I don't know why Clontarf should get more RVs. Some AVs have transferred over there, so obviously
they are needed. In my opinion, the focus should be on coverting routes to low-floor rather than getting more RVs.

If you look at Clontarf's fleet list, they have an almost low-floor fleet, including the AVs that transferred over. Perhaps they are planning on coverting
another route, I'm not sure. In relation to Harristown, the 13s may as well be classed as low-floor. If you look in the "low-floor 83s" thread in
the Photo File section, it was mentioned that kessal curbing is being laid somewhere along this route. So perhaps the 83s will be done.

Harristown would love the 83 low floor but its up the council to sort the bads roads route 83 uses im still told by drivers at Harristown today this work
has still not being done so i doubt it it will be the 83 going low floor rm1986 maybe the 13s , 40s or 17A

AX504, some of the RVs that you have mentioned are already in Summerhill and some of these have been observed by various posters on various Summerhill routes,
including the 16s and the 123. I'm not sure if all of these have transferred over, but others may be due to do over. We'll have to wait and see.

I have no idea, to be honest. The 13/A could well be next, as it is practically low-floor already. Quite possibly the 83 as kessal herbing has been reported
along the route. I realise, though, that there is the issue with the ramps. Again, I'm no expert on this, so I can't really say. All we can do at the
moment is to wait and see what happens. There are still transfers taking place, so we'll wait until these are done and see what happens.
