Just that it looked like it was a 10 on the scroll, (it's the bus on the north side of the bridge heading southbound) but closer inspection now reveals that the destination seems to be two words, one long one short, so could it be (a) a 12 Palmerston Park or (b) 13 Beechwood Ave, this would make it a Summerhill bus if it's a route 12. It's definitly a TD5.
Edit 1 : Further examination reveals there is an outside chance it's a TD4!!! R38-R50 batch, is this possible at this period??.
If we could work out how many opening upper deck windows this bus has and their position we might get an answer, I think TD4's had 3 opening but the TD5s only 2 opening. Edit 2 : Another examination of bus on the bridge reveals it is the same type as the route 12 that can be seen heading southbound on Westmoreland St, this is a TD5. However, the 'bridge bus' looks to be too near the nearside to be able to branch off into Westmoreland St, might be just an illusion!!!. Anthony.

This is definitely not an AR, I am certain that it is one of the first batch of TD4s (R1 to 50), the rear profile is very upright/straight. The vents varied right throughout the TD fleet, I thought initially that certain batches had particular types but this was not the case. AR1 had the normal R type body only 7'6" wide with the narrow window pillar so if it was going to be an AR it would be AR1. I agree that the radiator looks odd, the grill may simply be painted silver which could be throwing us, but I am sticking to my original hunch. This photo also appeared in "Wheels around Dublin" with some others equally interesting which I can post unless Towbar has the same book!
The standard R seems to be one of the originals with the painted radiator, R281-290. The GNR single decker is one of the Regal 3 buses of the 403-426 batch from 1948 .
