VWL145-157 are dealer stock and not to proper BÉ spec and came in June 07. They were all officially allocated to Waterford from new but were loaned to the depots listed above till 159-192 entered service in early 08. When all the batch came in the allocation therefore was as follows:

VWL145-157 - Waterford
VWL158, 159 - Capwell
VWL160-163 - Galway
VWL164, 165 - Roxboro
VWL166-177 - Capwell
VWL178-184 - Roxboro
VWL185-192 - Galway

Then following on from the SL delivery 169-177 were unfortunately removed out of Cork to give the following:
VWL145-157 - Waterford
VWL158, 159 - Capwell
VWL160-163 - Galway
VWL164, 165 - Roxboro
VWL166-168 - Capwell
VWL169-172 - Galway
VWL173-184 - Roxboro
VWL185-192 - Galway


Originally AM17-19 were meant for Galway and AM18 even got delivered there but never even saw service and instead transferred onto Waterford which in turn caused 155-157 to be moved to Galway so the allocation now is the following:

VWL145-154 - Waterford
VWL155-157 - Galway
VWL158, 159 - Capwell
VWL160-163 - Galway
VWL164, 165 - Roxboro
VWL166-168 - Capwell
VWL169-172 - Galway
VWL173-184 - Roxboro
VWL185-192 - Galway

So 157 has been in Galway and then moved to Waterford but back to Galway again, is this the most transfers to ever happen a BÉ citybus?

Here's hoping that some day VWL169-177 will re-appear on Leeside.

I would have thought it would have made more sense to transfer VWL158 and 159 out of Cork and have 169 and 170 remain on given that 158&159 have a D reg and the fact it would neatly tie in with 155-157 and 160-163 in Galway but BÉ certainly works in mysterious ways!
